Susan found yoga ten years ago after her husband unexpectedly died from cancer. With two young boys to raise and family to help, finding the right exercise became important. Yoga was different than any other exercise she had done. With any physical activity, you release a cocktail of endorphins and other feel good chemicals into your body, but with yoga she experienced something more. Yoga helped to clear her mind, be present, and start manifest life moving forward. She found that her yoga mat was her therapist. She started teaching six years ago to share how yoga transformed her life. And, to share her passion and love. She founded NOW to bring this transformation to you and the community.



Her love of yoga is spread through her desire to offer the practice to others. As a mother of two, she keeps grounded and grateful through her practice of yoga. Although she loves teaching children of all ages, her focus is teaching teens how to incorporate yoga into their lives. In a fun and supportive environment, she helps them build confidence and community, as well as strength and awareness. She believes that through breath and movement, teens learn how to flow through the transitions of their lives as they do on their mats; embracing where they are right now. Kaelan plays upbeat, contemporary music in her classes. She believes that yoga can offer a fun, empowering activity that can help teens deal with stress and the transitions they face.


Heather Leigh McKenzie

Heather brings 20 years of experience teaching fitness and yoga. She studies multiple disciplines and employs her broad range of knowledge in her classes. She consistently delivers smart, effective workouts with an infectious personality and energy that has earned her a place as both a top trainer and teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area. At NOW she teaches power yoga, sculpt, and pilates.

Deirdre believes strongly in yoga’s transformative power.  A ballerina for over thirteen years, Deirdre enjoys keeping active. Her practice has evolved through her studies in buddhism, shamanism, meditation, breath work, energy medicine, and hypnotherapy. Her classes are vigorous, breath driven, fun. And yes, you will sweat!

An impassioned creative with a staunchly faithful following, Wendy has over 15 years of experience, industry certification + education.  Wendy truly is a one of a kind well-seasoned yogi.

Wendy profoundly believes in the power of a consistent practice with attention to breath, alignment of mind, intention + action.  Wendy believes “results” are not only physical but result in emotional & spiritual growth. She shares her unique teaching style weaving personal insights with a profoundly creative wealth of knowledge + experience.

Outside of NOW you can find her barefoot in a Burmese wrap, traveling the world spreading her loving kind energy, & rescuing cats. All the cats. She resides in the East Bay with her woodworking partner her 3 beloved felines.

With a 20+ year background in fitness and yoga, 24 years in outdoor leadership and a childhood spent on the water in San Diego, she generously shares her breadth of knowledge to all her students with a kind heart and pioneering spirit.

Kris grew up a dancer and choreographer, then began teaching group fitness and yoga in 1998. She sees yoga as practice for self-care and cultivating joy. On and off the mat, Kris aims to remind people of their beauty, power and worth. In her classes you can expect clear alignment cues, a fluid pace and an uplifting message. She invites you to come as you are - and promises you’ll leave feeling a little less reactive, robotic, stressed or stiff … and a little more grounded, playful, hopeful and STRONG.

Kris is an RYT500 with Yoga Alliance. She completed her teacher trainings in the styles of Hatha, Vinyasa and Anusara Yoga. She is also an Interior Designer, mom to 2 kiddos and 2 dogs, and part-time booty-droppin' hip hop dancer.



Becca Sogge (RYT 500) is an inspired Power Vinyasa teacher who artfully guides students through her challenging and dynamic sequences with such grace and care that you may not realize how intensely you are working Becca’s classes create a personal and fluid experience. They blend athleticism with alignment, breath with beats, and are guaranteed to leave you sweaty and satisfied.

Classes build on the foundational alignment necessary to reach a peak posture (think handstand, full wheel, pincha) by intentionally preparing and informing the body through muscle memory - all in the guise of a kick ass flow that will have your heart pounding.

Becca draws inspiration from dance, nature and primal movement patterns. When not on her mat, she can be found flying with Acro Yogis, upside-down practicing handstand technique, in the solitude of the woods with her partner and dogs, or pursuing her work with underserved Youth in our community.

Classes are “all-levels” and designed to meet the varied needs of every type of Yogi. Whether you are new to Power Yoga, or capable of soaring through your practice upside-down and blindfolded, you will be welcomed and warmly supported.


Sloan’s mission is to inspire creativity, change and passion through mindful health & fitness which translates to living a more productive, balanced and happy life! Sloan has been in the Health & Fitness Industry for over 20 years. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science and holds certifications with AFAA, ACE and is a 200 Hour RYT.  Sloan has also been a Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer for over 15 years. The transition to Yoga did not come willingly or easily but once she discovered Power Yoga, it opened the door to an entirely new perspective on how to meaningly live her life and give back to others.  Sloan offers a unique perspective to her yoga style with an emphasis on mindful functional movement, core stability and creative flows specifically developed to help prevent injuries and enhance human performance.  

Sloan was raised in Florida and grew up spending her free time at the beach which is her happy place.  When she is not at the studio, gym or with clients, you can find her spending time with her two amazing children and husband.
